About London Politica
London Politica is a fast-growing political risk advisory firm providing strategic insights to businesses, governments, and organisations navigating geopolitical uncertainty. We operate at the cross-section of diplomacy, policymaking, and corporate strategy, engaging with global leaders in government, business, and civil society. We are seeking an exceptional Chief of Staff to work directly with the CEO across a range of projects. The ideal candidate is ambitious, intellectually curious, and thrives in fast-moving environments.
The Role
The Chief of Staff will serve as the CEO’s right hand, driving execution on the organisation’s highest priorities and ensuring the CEO operates at maximum impact. This is a fast-paced, high-trust role at the centre of strategy, operations, and external engagement. You will turn ideas into action, keep complex initiatives moving, and act as a force multiplier for the CEO across internal teams and external stakeholders.
This role will involve a mix of operational coordination, analytical support, stakeholder engagement, and occasional external representation. Some days will involve drafting briefing notes or coordinating client work; others may involve managing conference logistics, following up with senior stakeholders, or preparing materials for media or speaking engagements.
This role offers early exposure to senior geopolitical and policy networks, and suits someone who takes ownership naturally, solves problems proactively, and is comfortable keeping multiple fast-moving priorities aligned.
You will also work closely with London Politica’s partner organisation, the Oxbridge Diplomatic Academy, particularly in supporting the delivery of its July diplomatic training programme for mid- to senior-career diplomats at Rhodes House, Oxford.
Key Responsibilities
CEO Enablement and Priority Execution: Support the CEO in defining priorities and executing tasks across strategic and operational areas, and help translate ideas into structured plans and tangible outcomes.
Stakeholder Coordination and Relationship Management: Coordinate and maintain high-level relationships with diplomats, policymakers, journalists, corporate leaders, and partners, managing outreach, scheduling follow-ups, and communications.
Briefing and Material Preparations: Prepare background research, political risk summaries, talking points and executive briefing materials to support the CEO’s meetings, client engagement, and external appearances.
Analytical Support: Work on key client projects, prepare background research, briefing notes, and talking points.
Summits, Events, and Engagement Logistics: Organise and manage the CEO’s participation in major international summits, client meetings, and events, including scheduling, travel, materials preparation, and on-the-ground coordination.
Communications, Podcast, and Newsletter Management: Oversee the production and distribution of external communications, including social media, podcast and newsletter coordination and drafting, and broader thought leadership outputs.
Who You Are
A strategic thinker with a deep understanding of international affairs and excellent research and writing skills.
Highly organised and able to manage multiple high-stakes projects with impeccable attention to detail.
Adept at navigating complex stakeholder relationships with diplomacy, tact, and discretion.
Skilled in both content creation and social media strategy, with a strong grasp of platforms like LinkedIn and Canva.
Professional, ambitious, and eager to gain direct exposure to global political and diplomatic networks.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in international relations, political science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
2+ years of professional experience, ideally in political risk, executive strategy, foreign affairs, or a related field. (Preferable but not a requirement, open to graduates as well)
Exceptional writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel internationally once a quarter.
What We Offer
Exclusive Access: Access to a high-level network of global policymakers, executives, and thought leaders, with opportunities to shape influential discussions at major global forums.
Career Growth: Opportunities for professional advancement through mentorship, leadership exposure, and strategic involvement in high-level decision-making.
International Exposure: Travel to key summits, forums, and conferences and interface with leading media platforms.
Start-up environment: A dynamic and fast-paced work environment, where you will play a direct role in shaping the firm’s strategic direction and operational growth.
Contract and Eligibility
This is a 12-month contractor position (with likely possibility for extension). The successful candidate will be self-employed and responsible for their own tax obligations.
We regrettably are unable to sponsor visas.
